Disable SMS From Phone

    Locate the "Options" or "Settings" icon on your phone's home screen, or by scrolling through your list of applications.

    Select "Security Options" followed by "Firewall."

    Select the "Disabled" box on your "Status" tab, then check the "SMS" box to block any incoming text messages. When you want to retrieve the messages again, go back in to your firewall and remove the check from the SMS box.

    Sign up for an account on your wireless provider's website.

    Navigate to the "Messaging", "Online Tools" or "Preference" tab depending upon your wireless carrier's website.

    Locate and click on "Text Blocking." For some carrier websites, you may have to click on "Communication Tools" or "Preferences" to get to the blocking tool.

    Enter the number that you want to block or select the option to completely block the ability to send and receive SMS messages (if applicable).

    Click the "Save" button to allow the changes to go into effect.
